"Smoking Gun" on Station 19
Fun news from this past week - "Smoking Gun", a song I cowrote with the extremely talented Valen, was used in an episode of the new Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Station 19. It's not exactly the way I envisioned first having something to do with a Shondaland show, but I'll take it :)

Some December Updates
It's been a month full of writing for me! My brother and I have been working on a pilot together, which I am very excited about, and I'm making some real progress on a web series that I've been planning to write for a while now. I'm hoping to finish writing the web series by the end of January, and then we'll head into production sometime in the next couple of months. More info to come soon!
For now, though, Happy Holidays! I can't wait to see what 2012 will bring.

Prophets of Science Fiction Air Date Changed!
It has come to my attention that Science Channel has swapped the original air dates of the second and third episodes of Prophets of Science Fiction - which means that "my" episode - the one about Philip K. Dick - is now premiering this Wednesday night (November 16, 2011) at 10pm. So soon! Set your DVRs if you dare...
Also, to get you in the mood, here's a pretty cool interview with Ridley Scott from the Wall Street Journal, about the show in general and Philip K. Dick in particular.

Official Prophets of Science Fiction Website and Air Date!
Hey guys! Science Channel has officially updated their website with a whole new section devoted to Prophets of Science Fiction. It includes information about the scientists being profiled, puzzles, quizzes, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Check it out!
But the part that is most exciting to me is that the air date for my episode has been announced. The episode on Philip K. Dick will air on Wednesday, November 23, at 10pm - the night before Thanksgiving. Can't wait!

Ridley Scott's Comic Con announcement
It took a few days, but I finally managed to track down a recording of Ridley Scott's NYCC announcement. Thanks to Victoria Anderson, who posted this on her blog! It would seem that the episode on Mary Shelley is slated to air first, so check back - I'll post the Philip K. Dick air date when I know it!
Here's another article about the series, if you're interested!

Prophets of Science Fiction announced at New York Comic Con!
According to this article by Georg Szalai on HollywoodReporter.com, yesterday at New York Comic Con, a video message from Ridley Scott was played in which he "briefly touted his upcoming Science series Prophets of Science Fiction, which he hosts and produces. The eight-part series launches Nov. 9 and explores when science fiction becomes fact. The show, a brief sneak peek of which got a positive reaction from the audience, will explore such great minds of science fiction as Philip K. Dick, George Lucas and Mary Shelley."
So we have an official air date! The episode I'm in is the one about Philip K. Dick, and at the time of filming we were told it was the first in the series. So I guess we'll see if that holds true...
Glad to hear that people liked what they saw!

Prophets of Science Fiction
I just got back from a trip to Chicago, but there's no time to relax at home - bright and early tomorrow I'll be on set for a new show called Prophets of Science Fiction, which will profile famous science fiction writers whose work influenced "science fact". Read this article for more information!
I'll be playing Tessa Dick, wife of writer Philip K. Dick. The show is being produced by Ridley Scott and will be airing on the Science Channel later this year. Check back for more info and air dates!

"I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant"
Since this seems to be a hot topic at the moment, let me start from the beginning. I will be appearing on an upcoming episode of the (dare I say cult hit?) TLC/Discovery Health show “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”. I’m re-enacting the role of Tiffany, an EMT who gets a fun surprise when called to help a woman who is experiencing abdominal pain. No, I’m not the pregnant lady - sorry guys. The shoot was lots of fun, and I’m looking forward to being on TV for the first time! I’ll post the air date when I know about it, so check back.
